About the Fine Arts Chamber Orchestra |
The concert formation of the Fine Arts Chamber Orchestra consists of an average of 15 professional musicians. These musicians are permanent members of, among others, The Radio Orchestras (Hilversum), The Gelderland Orchestra (Arnhem) and The Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra (Amsterdam). The orchestra performs the repertoire for String Orchestra, emphasizing both American and Dutch composers, along with the ‘standard ‘repertoire from the Baroque to the Present Day.
The founder and conductor of “The Fine Arts Chamber Orchestra” is Melvin Margolis. Born and educated in The United States, Margolis was, along with his guest conducting appearances in The Netherlands and abroad, a professor at the Utrecht School of the Arts from 1978 until 2001.
Musical satisfaction and performances at the highest possible level are the main driving forces behind these musical artists, who donate their services for this wonderful repertoire. The audience can therefore count on inspired concerts from truly motivated musicians.
